POWER Switch
Depress to turn on the power and depress again to turn off the power.
Depress only the upper part of the switch (near the word POWER).

Due to the incorporation of a protection circuit, no signal will
be out-
put to the speakers for few seconds after the power is turned on.
SPEAKERS Switches with Indicators
A: Turn
on the switch to listen through
speakers connected
to the rear
panel
A SPEAKER
terminals.
B: Turn
on
the switch to listen through
speakers connected
to the rear
panel
B SPEAKER
terminals.
Turn on both switches to listen through two sets of speakers connected
to both A and B SPEAKER
terminals.

A and B SPEAKER
terminals accommodate
speakers of 4 to 16 ohm
impedance,
but if both
A and
B SPEAKER
terminals are used simul!-
taneously, speakers of 8 to 16 ohm impedance must be used.
VOLUME
Control
For volume
adjustment.
Slide the control
to the right to increase the
volume,
MUTING Button
afterwards to regain the previous votume level.
Recording (REC) Indicators
Interconnected with the REC SELECTOR.
LOUDNESS Button
When listening at a low volume level, the range audible by the human ear
is limited. The loudness circuit supplements this range by boosting the
bass and treble response. Depress the button for balanced sound at low
volume,
Input Switches with Indicators
PHONO:
Turn on the switch
to monitor
a record being played back on
a turntable connected to the rear panel PHONO jacks.
Turn on the switch
to monitor
a radio broadcast from a tuner
connected to the rear panel TUNER
jacks.
TUNER:
TAPE-1:
Turn
on the switch
to monitor
a tape being played back on a
tape deck connected to the rear panel TAPE-1 jacks.
TAPE-2:
Turn on the switch
to monitor
a tape being played back on a
tape deck connected to the rear pane! TAPE-2 jacks.
AUX:
Turn on the switch to monitor an equipment connected to the
rear panel AUX
jacks.
Also
use
these
switches
to monitor
the desired
input source
during
recording.
Headphone Jack (PHONES)
:
Accommodates
8 ohm
low impedance
type stereo headphones for moni-
toring or private headphone listening.
LINE STRAIGHT Switch with Indicator
When this switch
is turned on, the signals will bypass the tone controls
and the MODE
selector. Therefore, the signals will be output in stereo with
no tone control effect regardless of the setting of the Tone controls and
the MODE selector.

Set according to the type of cartridge used.

When using a moving coil type cartridge.
33:

a moving magnet type cartridge with 33 kc
impedance.
47:

using a moving magnet type cartridge with 47 kc
impedance.
100:
When using a moving magnet type cartridge with 100 kc
impedance.

Recording (REC) SELECTOR
Use this selector to select the desired signals to be recorded by
deck(s).

ceramic type cartridge turntable or a tape deck or recorder.
