The lit indicator lamp and a voice message
confirm that the call has been made to the
emergency services (In accordance with
the general conditions of use of the service,
available from dealers and subject to
technological and technical limitations).
The eCall (SOS) system immediately locates
your vehicle and puts you in contact
with the appropriate emergency services
(depending on the geographic coverage).
Pressing again immediately cancels the
request.
The indicator lamp flashes while the vehicle
data is being sent, and then remains lit
when communication is established.

NOTE The eCall (SOS) system is a public
service and is free-of-charge.
The indicator lamp on the buttons:
upon switching on the ignition, it lights
up for a few seconds and then goes out:
the system is operating correctly
it flashes red: emergency battery flat
it's fixed red or it doesn't light up
upon switching on the ignition: system
malfunction
NOTE The malfunction of the system does
not prevent the vehicle from driving.

ATTENTION
46) In the event that a serious accident
is detected by the sensors built into the
vehicle, such as the airbag control unit, an
emergency call is made automatically.
47) During an update to the vehicle's on-
board telematics system, the ASSISTANCE
system will be unavailable.

SYSTEMS

For optimal protection in the event of an
impact, all occupants must be seated
and wearing adequate restraint systems,
including newborn and other children!
This prescription is compulsory in all
EC countries according to EC Directive
2003/20/EC.
Front passenger airbag and child restraint
systems
Rearward facing child restraint systems
must NEVER be fitted on the front seat with
an active passenger side bag since in the
event of an impact the airbag activation may
cause fatal injuries to the transported child.
ALWAYS comply with the instructions on the
label stuck on the mirror side fig. 20 and
aesthetic side fig. 21 of the front passenger
sun visor.

Airbag deactivation
The front passenger airbag system must be
deactivated for child restraint system on the
passenger seat according to the
instructions in the table "Child restraint
installation locations" on the Owner
Handbook.
The side airbag and curtain airbag systems,
the belt pretensioners and all driver airbag
systems will remain active.
