3. SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE
3.1 COMMISSIONING
B
Commissioning must be carried out only by qualified personnel.
Commissioning must be repeated every time repairs are carried out on the system and safety devices.
3.1.1 Before starting the electric heating unit
Open all the shut-off valves that connect the unit to the system.
Fill the system with water and check that the boiler and system have been properly vented.
Check that there are no leaks in the connections of the heating system, DHW system and the boiler.
Check that the boiler is properly connected to an appropriate electrical power grid.
Check the correct grounding of the unit.
Check that there are no corrosive liquids or objects near the boiler.
3.1.2 Startup
Turn on the power to the boiler.
Activate the winter mode and make sure there is a heating request from the room thermostat. The heating element of the
heat exchanger now turns on. The boiler starts in automatic mode controlled by the safety devices.
The boiler stops working when the power supply is interrupted and will resume normal operation when the power
A
supply is restored.
3.1.3 Inspection during operation
Check for proper water circulation between the boiler and system.
Check that the boiler works correctly according to the room thermostat request.
3.1.4 Turning off
Press the button
for 5 seconds.
When the boiler is in off mode
In these conditions, the frost protection is active.
B
When the power supply fails, the frost protection function is not active.
To avoid problems caused by frost when the unit is disconnected from the power source for a long time, it is
necessary to completely empty the heating system and fill it with an antifreeze product in accordance with the
requirements indicated.
3.2 MAINTENANCE
B
ALL MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENT OPERATIONS MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY QUALIFIED
SPECIALIST PERSONNEL.
DISCONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY OPERATION INSIDE THE
BOILER.
Carrying out regular maintenance helps prevent possible faults.
A complete inspection once a year, before starting the heating system, is recommended.
When checking, tighten all electrical joints and plumbing connections, clean the water pump and Y-strainer, check the
safety valve, drain valve and all safety devices. Then check that the unit works properly.
If the unit works in a closed heating system with an expansion vessel under pressure, frequently check the value indicated
by the pressure gauge. In the cooling phase, if there is a drop in residual pressure below the limit established by the
installation company, the unit must be checked by specialist personnel. This does not apply in the case of first heating or
when the safety valve is opened. In these cases, fill the system with water, following the instructions.
, it still remains electrically powered.
