Searching for PTY
@ Select the desired station from preset in the preset number buttons
[1] to [6]. Then, the preset PTY and that preset number appear on
the display for 5 seconds.

@ While the desired type from 6 presets appears on the display, take
either of the following two steps.
a) Press the same preset button again.
b) Press [BAND].
If the desired PTY station is available, it is directly received. If it is not,
"NO PTY" blinks and the radio returns to the station that was received
before the search.

Press the same button again to cancel.
Canceling of PTY Mode
Press [PTY] to cancel.
The set returns to the state existing before PTY mode while the receiv-
ing frequency remains unchanged.
Emergency Announcement Reception
(Some areas are not covered by emergency announcement service.)
When an emergency announcement is broadcast, the unit is automati-
cally switched to receiving that broadcast. If this happens in a mode
other than radio mode (Tape mode, CD Changer mode, AUX mode) or
in Muting in TA mode, "ALARM" blinks on the display.
