Saving/Loading Data (File Mode)

In the File mode, you can save/load the data such as Voice and Performance created on this instrument. To enter the File
mode, press the [FILE] button.
This section explains how to save/load all the data on the user memory of this instrument as an "All" file (extension: X2A).
Saving the settings to a
USB storage device

Connect a USB storage device to the USB TO
DEVICE terminal of this instrument.

Press the [FILE] button to enter the File
mode.
The File Select display appears.

Select "Save" by using the cursor buttons
then press the [ENTER] button.
The internal flash memory and USB storage device are
shown on the File Save display.

Select the USB storage device by using the
Cursor [U]/[D] buttons then press the
[ENTER] button.
The root directory of the USB storage device is shown.

Select the desired directory then press the
[ENTER] button.
To save the file to the directory, move the cursor to "NEW
FILE" then press the [ENTER] button. The display for
selecting the file type is shown.

Select the File type then press the [ENTER]
button.
Select "All" if you want to save all the data. When the data
saved via "All" is loaded back to the instrument, you can still
select specific data you wish to retrieve—such as specific
Voices or specific Voice Banks—as well as all of the data.

Assign a name to the file then press the
[ENTER] button.
Select the desired characters by using the data dial and
cursor buttons then press the [INC] button to enter the
selected character. To cancel the selected character, press
the [DEC] button.

Press the [ENTER] button again after the
confirmation display is shown.
This actually saves the file.
