6 - HANDLING

These machines must be unloaded and positioned by
a specialist handling company using the appropriate,
standardized tools.
Important: In the Split version the interior and exterior modules
are supplied separately. The mixing box (CS assembly) is also
supplied separately for connection on site.
Caution: Do not stack modules in Split version.
Always follow the indications on the sticker on the
package of the unit (Package version or outdoor module
of the Split version) (fi g. 5.1).
Always check the weight of the unit and verify that the
discharging method used is approved for handling
that weight.
The unit must be handled with care to avoid any damage. Do
not remove the protective packaging and the transport guards
until the unit is in its fi nal location.
Before handling, check that the path leading to the installation
location is accessible and free from obstacles.
It is always mandatory to grasp the unit by the points intended
for that purpose, as described in this chapter.
Any handling of the unit by other means or by gripping points
diff erent from those described here may be dangerous for both
the unit and the personnel who are carrying out the discharging
or transport work.
Package version and Outdoor module (Split version)
The outdoor module crossbars are equipped with the following
elements for handling:
1. Holes for anchoring crane slings.
2. Transport skids.
3. Guides to accommodate the forklift forks.
Important: Before starting the module installation, remove the
transport skids and guides fi xed by M6 screws.

Crane lifting
These holes, located at the
ends of the crossbars, are the
only points that can be used to
lift the unit.
Lifting points are identifi ed
with labels as shown in fi gure
6.1.
The centre of gravity is not necessarily in the middle of the unit
and the forces applied to the slings are not always identical.
Please consult the weight and the centre of gravity of each
model stated in paragraph 7.5.
Approved textile slings, suitable for the dimensions and weight
of the unit, must be used.
It is also recommended to use a spreader beam with centre of
gravity regulation to separate the slings from the top of the unit
(see fi g. 5.1).
Raise and set down the unit carefully. Take care not to tilt it by
more than 15°, as this could adversely aff ect its operation.
Safety when lifting can only be guaranteed if all these instructions
are followed. Otherwise, there is a risk of equipment damage
or injury to personnel.
Handling with forklift truck
At the base of the module, there are guides designed to
accommodate the forks of the forklift truck. These protections
ensure that the centre of gravity remains within the forks, and
at the same time, avoid the possible introduction of the truck's
fork into functional parts that may cause damage to the unit.
The recommended length for the forks will be bigger than the
unit width so that the entire weight-bearing structure of the unit
can be supported on the forklift truck.
The standards and recommendations of the forklift truck must
also be respected with regard to the maximum load, inclination
of the fork carriage, elevation of the load for transport, and the
maximum speed.
Dragging of the module
Transport skids and guides can also be used to drag the module.
This is also useful for passing through spaces with low height
(for example, a door).
