9 - REFRIGERANT CONNECTION
● The diameter of the pipes is as follows:

● Next, perform a pressure test of the pipes and a leak detection
to check the refrigeration installation.
● Vacuum the installation to remove moisture from inside the
circuit.
● Apply the insulating material to the pipes. The material
used must guarantee tightness at working pressure and
temperature.
Important: The gas line must always be insulated.
C a u t i o n : E n s u r e t h e h o s e f o r e l e c t r i c a l
interconnection is not touching refrigerated pipes.
● After completing the refrigerant connection between the
modules, charge with R-410A refrigerant. The following table
indicates the charge required for a maximum equivalent
distance between the outdoor and indoor modules of 7.5
meters:

● Add the refrigerant via the charging valve, located in the
liquid line, using the appropriate equipment and tools, with
the compressors stopped, monitoring the pressures to control
any anomaly.
The Schrader-type valves are accessed through the side
panels of the outdoor module.
To ensure that the gas charge is correct, follow the instructions
given in the chapter "Commissioning".
● If the equivalent length of the refrigerant lines is greater than
7.5 meters, an additional charge per meter must be carried
out according to the following table:

Optional service valves and refrigerant charge
● The outdoor module can incorporate service valves. These
valves must remain closed until the refrigerant connection
between the two modules is completed.
Caution: Before cutting the tube terminations, verify that the

service valves are closed and ensure, by reading on the valve
core, that there is no pressure.
● Interconnect the modules according to the recommendations
provided in the previous section.
● Finally, open the service valves located in the outer module to
allow the passage of the coolant to the inner module. These
valves can be accessed through the front or side panel (M6
screws). The side panel requires disassembling an internal
panel that is fi xed with self-drilling screws.
