selecting Output Mode of OUT 4 Jacks
You can select either output mode A or B for the OUT 4 jacks. Use the OUTPUT MODE selector on the front panel.
In mode A
No signal is output from the OUT 4 jacks when IN 4 is selected by the INPUT SELECT switch. Normally use the unit in
mode A, but if a video player (for playback only) is connected to the IN 4 jacks, the OUT 4 jacks will be left unused.
in mode B
The signal input via the IN 4 jacks will be output from the OUT 4 jacks, as well as from the OUT 1, 2 and 3 jacks. When a
VTR for recording is connected to the OUT 4 jacks, you can perform dubbing onto 5 different VTRs at the same time. Or
you can connect a secondary monitor to the OUT 4 jacks.
