Using the PCIe Slot Q-Release
The PCIEX16(G5)_1 slot comes with a PCIe Slot Q-Release button allowing you to easily
remove an expansion card installed to this PCIe slot.
To release an expansion card using the PCIe Slot Q-Release:
Press the PCIe Slot Q-Release button until a click is heard, then stop pressing the PCIe Slot
Q-Release button. If the PCIe Slot Q-Release button does not bounce back after you have
stopped pressing, the expansion card has been successfully released and can be removed,
lift and remove the expansion card. The PCIe Slot Q-Release button should bounce back up
after the expansion card has been removed.
The illustration below is for reference only. The motherboard and PCIe slot Q-Release
may differ between models, but the steps for using the PCIe slot Q-Release remain the
same.
