2-6. Listening Mode Preset sub-menu
With the TX-DS898, you can set a different listening mode for each
different signal type that comes from each input source. For
example, if your DVD player also plays compact discs and the DVD
video signal is Dolby Digital and the compact disc signal is PCM,
then you can set a different lislening mode for each.
This is especially convenient if you frequently play the same lypes of
movies or music.
* The 5.l-channel digital sun'ound formal has a variely of vensions
including Dolby Digital and DTS. The 5.1- channel digital
surround formal enables you m individually record and play five
full-range (20 Hz to 20 kHz) channels (lefl and right front,
center, and two surround channels) plus an LFE channel (Low
Frequency Effect) for the low-range effect sound. It will create a
realistic sound that can be hem'd in 1he 1heaters and concert halls.
