Troubleshooting chart
Remove the fuel
petcock filter cup
1. Fuel
Check if there is
gasoline in the
fuel tank
There is fuel

Clean filter cup
Turn the fuel
petcock to "OFF'

2. Compression
Some fuel
No fuel
Turn the fuel

Supply fuel
Restart engine

Kick the kick lever
to see if there is
compression

Compression normal
Low compression

Ask Yamaha dealer to inspect
3. Ignition
Remove plug and
check electrode
Wipe clean w i t h dry
cloth
L-i Dry
Attach plug cap and
ground to chassis
Turn switch on and
kick strongly
