6. Measure correct amount of oil and pour
into each leg.
Recommended oil:
Yamaha fork oil 10W, 20W
Quantity per leg: 146cc(4.9oz)
NOTE:
Select the weight oil that suits local condi-
tions and your preference (lighter for less
dampling; heavier for more damping).
7. After filling, slowly pump the fork tubes
up and down to distribute the oil.
NOTE:
Adjust the oil levels in both right and left
front forks so they are even.

8. Inspect O-ring on fork cap bolts and
replace if damaged.
9. Install the fork cap bolts and torque to
specification.
Fork cap bolt torque:
2.0m-kg (14.4 ft-lb)
Rear wheel removal
1. Elevate the rear wheel by placing a
suitable stand under the engine.
