Operating range

Ths cordless telephone operates wth the maxmum power allowed by the Federal Communcatons Commsson (FCC). Even so, ths handset and telephone base can communcate over only a
certain distance ----which can vary with the locations of the telephone base and handset, the weather, and the layout of your home or office.
When the handset s out of range, the handset wll dsplay Searching. The user can access the handset phonebook, and certan parts of the menu system, .e. handset settng and regstraton, but
not the tme settng and base settng. Not possible wll be dsplayed f access s tred.
If there s a call whle the handset s out of range, t mght not rng, or f t does rng, the call mght not connect well when you press TALK/FLASH. Move closer to the telephone base, then press
TALK/FLASH to answer the call.
If the handset moves out of range durng a telephone conversaton, there mght be nterference.
To mprove recepton, move closer to the base.

Avod rough treatment
Place the handset down gently. Save the orgnal packng materals to protect your telephone f you ever need to shp t.
Avod water
Your telephone can be damaged f t gets wet. Do not use the handset outdoors n the ran, or handle t wth wet hands. Do not nstall your base unt near a snk, bathtub or shower.
Electrcal storms
Electrcal storms can sometmes cause power surges harmful to electronc equpment. For your own safety, use cauton when usng electrc applances durng storms.
Cleanng your telephone
Your telephone has a durable plastc casng that should retan ts luster for many years. Clean t only wth a soft cloth slghtly dampened wth water or a mld soap. Do not use excess water or
cleanng solvents of any knd.
Remember that electrcal applances can cause serous njury f used when you are wet or standng n water. If your base unt should fall nto water, DO NOT RETRIEVE IT UNTIL YOU UNPLUG
THE POWER CORD AND TELEPHONE LINE CORDS FROM THE WALL. Then pull the unt out by the unplugged cords.
