In case of difficulty
What appears to be a malfunction may not always be serious. If your unit should not perform as expected, consult the
table below to see if the problem can be corrected before seeking help from your dealer or service representative.
Symptom
Disc is loaded, player does not play.
@ Disc is loaded upside down.
@ Load the disc again with its label side up.
@ Disc is loose.
@ Insert the disc properly.
@ Disc is dirty.
e Wipe off the dust on the surface of the
disc referring to "Disc handling precau-
tions".
@ Replace the disc with a new one.
@ Leave the player for about 1 hour so that
the condensation is removed.
@ Disc is cracked.

@ Condensation occured on the optical lens
unit.
@ Disc is not loaded,
@ Disc is too dirty.
No sound.
@ Load a disc.
e Wipe off the dust on the disc surface
referring to "Disc handling precautions".
@ Replace the disc with a new one.
e Connect all connection cords firmly.
@ Disc is cracked.

@ The connection cords are inserted loosely,
is too dirty.
Music is interrupted. (Sound is skipped.)
@ Dise
@ Wipe off the dust on the disc surface
referring to "Disc handling precautions".
@ Replace the disc with a new one.
@ Try selecting a place where no strong
vibrations occur by changing the installa-
tion place, etc.
@ Disc is cracked.
@ Oscillation is applied to this unit.
Notes:
1. This system is microprocessor-controiled, so malfunction may occur due to extemal noise or interference noise. Insucha case, unplug the power
cord, plug it and turn power on again.
2, Donotuse contact cleaners because it could cause a malfunction, Be specially careful against contact cleaners containing oil, for they may deform
the plastic components.
