6.1 Reconnection
Voltage reconnection. Affix a notice to the generator set
after reconnecting the set to a voltage different from the
voltage on the nameplate. Order voltage reconnection
decal 246242 from an authorized service distributor/
dealer
.
Equipment damage. Verify that the voltage ratings of
the transfer switch, line circuit breakers, and other
accessories match the selected line voltage.
Reconnect the generator set stator leads to change the
output phase or voltage as described in the following
sections.
Follow the safety precautions at the front of this manual
and in the text and observe National Electrical Code
(NEC) guidelines.
After reconnecting the stator leads, refer to the
operation manual for instructions to change the voltage
and current settings on the controller (i.e.overvoltage,
undervoltage, overcurrent, and undercurrent warning
and shutdown settings).
6.2 Four-Lead Reconnection
The following information illustrates the reconnection of
four-lead generator sets. In all cases, follow National
Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines.
100- -120/200- -240-Volt Configurations
The 100--120/200--240-volt configuration does not use
a jumper lead.
Select a two-pole circuit breaker.
Application of two single-pole circuit breakers does not
conform to NEC requirements for supplying a
200--240-volt
load,
even
