5.10.1 Relay and Harness Accessory Kit
A relay accessory kit is available for model
REODB/REOZDB generator sets. The kit is required for
output connection to customer-provided devices. Do
not connect directly to the terminals on the back of the
controller.
The kit includes an interconnection harness and three
auxiliary relays, which allow the following connections:
D
Remote start/stop switch or automatic transfer switch
D
A Modbus device such as the Remote Serial
Annunciator
D
Generator running output
D
Common fault 1 and 2 outputs
The run relay provides a generator set running output.
Two common fault relays provide the connection points
for the common fault 1 and common fault 2 outputs.
Normally open and normally closed contacts are
provided to trigger customer-provided devices if a
selected fault or event occurs. Assign faults and events
to the common fault outputs using the KPC 1000
controller. See the Operation Manual.
Refer to Figure 5-4 and the accessory interconnection
diagram in Section 7 for connections.
