z Key
This tab allows you to configure the KDS-100 key
operations.
・ Key Hold Time
・ Key Repeat Time
The KDS-100 is set to repeat the operations that are
assigned to the display when the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys are
pressed continuously. You can configure the duration of
these operations by Key Hold Time and Key Repeat
Time. Key Hold Time allows you to configure the
duration from when the key is pressed until the
operation starts and Key Repeat Time allows you to
configure the duration from when the operation starts
until the same operation is repeated. The ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys,
for example, are used to select a message in the
Message List display.
The cursor moves to the next line when pressing the
key once.
If you keep pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on this display,
the cursor keeps moving.
"Key Hold Time" allows you to configure the duration
from when the key is pressed until the cursor starts
moving. "Key Repeat Time" allows you to configure the
duration from when the cursor starts moving until the
cursor moves again.
Use the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of the display at "Key
Hold Time" to configure the duration from 500 msec to
2550 msec in steps of 10 msec. You can enter a value
directly, but cannot enter a decimal value or numbers
that are out of range.
"Key Recept Time" allows you to configure the duration
from when the key is pressed until the cursor starts
moving. "Key Repeat Time" allows you to configure the
duration from when the cursor starts moving until the
cursor moves again.
Use the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of the display at "Key
Recept Time" to configure the duration from 100 msec
to 2550 msec in steps of 10 msec. You can enter a
value directly, but cannot enter a decimal value or
numbers that are out of range.
Note: These configurations are also used for other
keys. For example, Key Hold Time, Key Repeat Time
configurations at the Terminal settings mode apply to
the operations of funtion keys [2] and [3] on [TIME]
configuration display.

Configure Selective call.
OFF: This command allows you to not select the
Selective call. Selective call display

Momentary: This command allows you to keep
making Selective calls while pressing [SEL.CALL].
Toggle: This command allows you to make a new
Selective call when [SEL.CALL] is pressed again.
・ Message Delete
You can execute the message delete command on the
KDS-100 by selecting this checkbox. If this checkbox is
not selected, you cannot delete messages from the
terminal's memory.

z Tone
This tab allows you to configure the operation sound of
the KDS-100.
・ Power ON Tone Level
You can adjust the tone level of the sound during
setup. Select the level by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on
the right of display. The levels available vary from OFF
to 31 (default = 15). You can directly enter a value, but
you cannot enter a decimal value or numbers that are
out of range.
・ Key Control Tone Level
You can adjust the tone level of the sounds during key
operations. Select the level by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨
keys on the right of display. The levels available vary
from OFF to 31 (default = 15). You can directly enter a
value, but you cannot enter a decimal value or numbers
that are out of range.
・ Proceed Tone Level
You can adjust the tone level of the sound when the
transceiver is ready for voice communications. Select
the level by pressing the ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ and ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ keys on the right of
display. The levels available vary from OFF to 31
