Switching on the appliance and setting the thermostat

You switch on your appliance by connecting it to your mains supply
and setting the thermostat. The thermostat is located inside the
refrigerator compartment.
o The thermostat automatically regulates the temperature inside
the fridge freezer, depending on what number you have turned
the thermostat control knob to.
o Position <0> means that the appliance will not cool. However
the light will still function.
o Position <1> will give you a higher temperature inside the fridge
and freezer compartments.
o Position <7> will give you very low temperatures inside the
fridge and freezer compartments.
o Ideally the thermostat should be set between positions <3> -
<4> and should be adjusted to your personal requirements.
o The fridge section can maintain a temperature of between 4 – 6
degrees centigrade, depending on what thermostat settings you
have selected.
o As this is a 4 star rated freezer, the temperature in this
compartment should be maintained around -18°C and below.
o IMPORTANT: The following things will affect the
temperatures within the compartments:-
Ambient temperature of the room.
The temperature of food.
The amount of food placed inside.
The number of door openings.
o On the maximum setting (position <7>), your fridge freezer will
run for longer periods of time and will therefore maintain a lower
temperature. There is no need to run your appliance on setting
<7>, unless you are freezing fresh food.
