WARNING:
Service on the product must be performed by qualified
repair personnel only. Service or maintenance performed
by unqualified personnel could result in injury to the user
or damage to the product.
WARNING:
Before performing any maintenance, make sure the log
splitter battery is removed to avoid accidental starting
and possible serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Do not access internal components. Touching internal
components may cause the ram to move and suddenly
retract. Maintenance to be performed by authorized
personnel only. Failure to do so could result in serious
personal injury.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to
comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in
objects being thrown into your eyes, resulting in possible
serious injury.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts could create a hazard or cause
product damage.

MAINTENANCE

NOTICE:
Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged,
missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps,
etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not
operate this product until all missing or damaged parts
are replaced. Please contact customer service or a quali-
fied service center for assistance.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, lubricant, grease, etc.
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating lubricants, etc., come in
contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage,
weaken or destroy plastic which could result in serious
personal injury.
LUBRICATION
See Figure 10.
The splitting lever periodically needs to be lubricated.
Apply oil in the hole in the lever as shown.
STORING THE LOG SPLITTER
See Figures 11 - 12.
Before storage, wipe any moisture, dirt, or debris from
the battery area.
Remove the batteries and store in a secure location out
of the reach of children.
Store log splitter in a clean, dry place out of the reach
of children.
Check all nuts, bolts, knobs, screws, fasteners, etc., for
tightness.
Inspect moving parts for damage, breakage, and wear.
Have repairs made on any damaged or missing parts.
NOTE: The scabbard tether loop is not intended to be
used for securing or holding the weight of the log splitter.
Cover the wedge with the scabbard and secure with a
rope to the frame of the log splitter.
Grip the handles and pull up to rotate the splitter in an
upright position.
