When using a single cassette deck, select DECK Il.
REC (REC) button:
Selects the recording or recording standby mode

Rapidly advances the tape in the direction of the arrow.
~@ (PLAY) button:
Selects reverse playback.
it (PAUSE) button:
Temporarily stops tape transport. Press again to resume tape
transport,
f=] (STOP) button:
Stops the tape transport,
Bm {PLAY} button:
Selects forward playback.
SELECT button:
Selects the cassette No. (1 to 6) for multi-cassette changer.
POWER:
Switches DAT deck power ON/OFF.
REC {REC): Selects the recording mode.
«tq (REW): Rewind.
ep (FF): Fast forward.
H {PAUSE}: Temporarily stops tape transport.
Press again to resume tape transport.
a {STOP}: Stops the tape transports.
Sd {PLAY): Playback.
1—10: 1 to 10: Use to input numbers.
PGM: Use to playback a program.

PROGRAMMING
The VSX-D701S remote control unit has a LEARN mode and an EDIT
mode. The VSX-D601 remote control unit has an EDIT mode.
