About the system control connections

Cannecting system control cords after connecting
a KENWOOD
audio component system lets you take advantage of convenient
system control operations.
There are two KENWOOD
system control modes. Make connections according to the groups of terminal symbols shown below.
XSE
Mode:
tets you combine XS), XT, and: XSE
terminats
(SLIB) Mode: for (SLIB) terminals only
This unit is anly compatible with the [XS8] mode and cannot be cannected in the [SL16} mode.

ABOUT THE SYSTEM CONTROL OPERATIONS
Remote Control
Lets you operate source components
with the system re-
mote supplied with this unit.

Automatic Operation (Except [XR] equipment)
When this unit is connected to KENWOOD
system compo-
nents such as a cassette deck and CD player through system
control cords and the input source is selected with the IN-
PUT SELECTOR, the selected component starts to play auto-
matically.
Inversely,
playing
a component
automatically
selects that source as the input to this unit. The automatic
operation atso occurs when the provided remote control is
used. (Except for TAPE 2 and video components}
Synchronized Recording (Except [XR] equipment)
Lets you synchronize recording with the start of playback
'when recording from CD, MD, LD, or anaiog discs.
