Do not ride through deep water, oth-
erwise the engine may be damaged.
Avoid puddles because they may be
deeper than expected.

If the battery voltage is less than 11.50
volts, charge the battery.

2. Neutral position
Shifting gears lets you control the
amount of engine power available for
starting off, accelerating, climbing hills,
etc. When shifting gears, fully return
the throttle grip. The use of the shift
pedal is shown in the illustration.
TIP
The transmission cannot be shifted
from 4th gear to neutral when the en-
gine is running.
