The Parental setting is complete.
• To cancel the Parental setting for the disc,
set "Password" to "Oft _' in step 3.
• To change the password, select "Change
Password" in step 5, and press ENTER.
When the display for registering a password
appears, enter a new four-digit password
using the nnrnber buttons.
• If you forget yorepassword, select"Factory Setting" of
"Options" m the "Setup" display
• When you play discs which do not have the Parental
Control fimction, playback cannot be limited on this
recorder.
• Depending on the disc, you may be asked to change the
Parental Control level while playing the disc In this
case, enter your password, then change the level.
FrontDisplay
Ac!jnststhe lighting of the front panel display.
Auto Ac[iusts automatically.
Bright Bright lighting.
Dimmer Low lighting. Turns off the
lighting when the power is
off.
Command Mode
(hanges the command mode of the recorder if
other DVD eqnipment is assigned the same
command mode. Be sure to match the
COMMAND MODE switch on the remote to the
setting made here. For details, see "If you have a
Son?,: DVD Player Video Cassette Recorder or
Video Cassette RecorderiDVD Recorder" on
page 29.
Model
Select this if the default
colranand mode conflicts
with other DVD equipment.
Mode2 Select this if the default
colmnand mode conflicts
with other DVD equipment.
Mode3 The default command mode
of the recorder.
Factory Setting
Allows you to retnrn _e setup settings to their
default settings. Note that all of your previous
settings will be lost.
1 After step 3 above, select"Factory Setting,"
and press ENTER.
2 Select"Start," and press ENTER.
The setnp settings return to their default
settings.
Press I/(_) to turn off the recorder, and press
I/(_) again to turn it on.
The "Easy Setup" display appears. Follow the
instructions lbr Easy Setnp (page 30) from
step 5.
