Push the jog switch 1 or 2 up or down to restore the display
to the one in step 2.

Push the jog switch 1 up or down to
select "POWER OFF."

Press the jog switch 1 in.
The player exits the formatting mode and
turns off.
Important
• Improper formatting may result from the use of an incompatible computer. Use this
player whenever formatting.
• Never eject an SD memory card while formatting. Doing so may damage the SD
memory card.
Note
An error message may be displayed during these steps. Refer to page 36. To cancel the
procedure, push the jog switch 1 or 2 up or down to restore the display to the one in
step 2, then perform steps 6 and 7.
