Restrictions for copyright protection
This player system incorporates encoding technology for copyright
protection in compliance with the terms and conditions of SDMI. Therefore,
users are required to acknowledge the following restrictions on usage of
this system.
1 Data imported to a computer or transferred to the player using the
TOSHIBA Audio Manager cannot be played on any other device even if it
has been copied there.
2 The TOSHIBA Audio Manager cannot read data that contains copy
protection signals in compliance with the terms and conditions of SDMI.
3 Data which contains no restrictions on usage (such as CD) is limited to 3
transfers according to the terms and conditions of SDMI.
SDMI: Secure Digital Music Initiative, an organization established to
construct technology specifications to protect digital music
distribution against illegal copy.
PD: An SDMI authorized device that records audio data inside or onto
an external media. TOSHIBA Audio Manager defines the TOSHIBA
mobile audio player as the PD.
