To connect to the network, the administrator needs to set the network
camera IP address.
There are two options to set the IP address.

・ Entering an IP address manually(→page 84)
● Obtaining an IP address automatically from the DHCP server
Your camera is set to get data automatically obtain an IP address from
the DHCP server (DHCP ON/OFF is set to ON in "Network-Basic
Settings") by default. If your network is using DHCP server, you will not
need to change the IP address of the camera.
● Entering the IP address manually
・ Manually enter the IP address when the DHCP server is turned off or
if there are no DHCP servers.
・ In certain circumstances the Camera's IP address can be changed by
the DHCP server. If this happens your camera will stop working over
the Internet. To avoid this possibly happening it is best to manually
assign an IP address in the camera. Once you have an assigned IP
address it must be installed in the camera and reserved for the cam-
era in the router.
・ When entering the IP address manually, set DHCP ON/OFF to OFF in
"Network-Basic Settings" on page 84 and enter the IP address, subnet
mask, default gateway, primary DNS and secondary DNS.
