Second environment (drive of category C4)

If the provisions under
be met, for example, the drive cannot be equipped with EMC filter +E200 when
installed to an IT (unearthed) network, the requirements of the standard can be met
as follows:
1.
It is ensured that no excessive emission is propagated to neighboring low-
voltage networks. In some cases, the inherent suppression in transformers and
cables is sufficient. If in doubt, a supply transformer with static screening
between the primary and secondary windings can be used.
Low voltage
2. An EMC plan for preventing disturbances is drawn up for the installation. A
template is available from the local ABB representative.
3. The motor and control cables are selected as specified in the hardware manual.
4. The drive is installed according to the instructions given in the hardware manual.
WARNING! A drive of category C4 is not intended to be used on a low-
voltage public network which supplies domestic premises. Radio frequency
interference is expected if the drive is used on such a network.

"C-tick" marking

A "C-tick" mark is attached to each drive in order to verify compliance with the EMC
product standard (EN 61800-3:2004), required under the Trans-Tasman
Electromagnetic Compatibility Scheme for levels 1, 2 and 3 in Australia and New
Compliance with EN 61800-3:2004
Zealand. See
