and DATs can be recorded to MD discs clearly and with
little deterioration of sound quality. This "digital to digital
recording" capability is limited to "first generation only"
copies through use of the SCMS standard and the QZ-
500 system has been designed as a digital component
conforming to this standard.
When a "copy of a copy" is attempted, The "SCMS" error
message appears, and dubbing is prevented.
On MDs, regardless of the maximum recording time, the
number of tracks recordable is limited, and when this num-
ber exceeds 255 tracks, further recording is impossible.
Mi The join function can not be operated
ing, when the number of separated sections increases,
"FULL" may appear. When a separated section of less
than 8 seconds has been created, that song can not be
joined using the join function. Also, erasing that section
will not increase the remaining time. When searching for
songs that have been finely separated and recorded,
sound drop out may occur.
@ The total time of tracks recorded on the disc and
remaining recordable time does not total the maxi-
mum recordable time (74 minutes. 60 minutes.) of
the disc.
