Encryption
To require a numeric PIN or password to decrypt your phone
each time you power it on or encrypt the data on your SD card
each time it is connected.
Note: You must first set up a screen lock type if you haven't
already done so. For more information, refer to "Screen
Lock" on page 114.
1. From the Home screen, tap
More ➔ Security.
2. Tap Encrypt device. For more information, read the
displayed help screen.
3. Tap Encrypt external SD card to enable the encryption of
SD card data, which requires a password be entered
each time the microSD card is connected.
Tip: Make sure your battery is charged more than 80 percent or
the charger is connected. Encryption may take an hour or
more.

Find my mobile
Remote controls
Remote controls uses the SamsungDive service to track and
control your device remotely. Also, using the Find my mobile
feature, you can find your missing phone. See
www.samsungdive.com for more information.
To enable remote controls:
1. From the Home screen, tap
More ➔ Security ➔ Remote controls.
2. Tap OK.
3. Tap the ON/OFF slider
on.
SIM Change Alert
SIM Change Alert sends an SMS message to preset phone
numbers if your phone is ever turned on with a different SIM
card in it.
1. From the Home screen, tap
More ➔ Security ➔ SIM Change Alert.
2. Tap Sign in and sign in to your Samsung account.

Tap Create account and set up a Samsung account.
