Set the exposure mode dial to the desired
Vari- Program,
then lightly press the shutter release button.
Center
the
focus brackets on
your subject (where you
want the focus) and lightly
press the
shutter
release
button.
Lightly pressing the
shutter
release button
automatically
focuses
the camera on
the
subject and when
the
subject
is
in
focus,
that
focus
area is
highlighted
with
Vari-Bright display
(p.
9),
beep
sound
is emitted and

in the
viewfinder.
When

blinking
in the
viewfinder,
the
camera is
unable to focus using autofocus.
