360°. Cutting tool clearance angles can be adjusted as needed providing real angle result when setting angles. There are 9 different axes to work with for unlimited versatility. Your CM-01P grinds O.D.s (outside diamters) and ends of standard end mills in one setup within a few minutes. inside flutes, ends (primary and secondary), as well as roughing end mills, carbide tools, reamers, end gashes, small rounds or reamers (circumferential lands), reduced neck grinds, Weldon flats, carbide and HSS cut off.

Hook up shop air to the air spindle with the coiled hose provided. There must be clean dry air present (must have an aid dryer on the line) it can be used without additional filtration and moisture control. The air spindle uses one to two cfm at 80 to 100 psi. A regulator filter has not been shipped with the machine which can be mounted near the machine if required. The filter assembly is not attached to the air spindle because there are adjustment devices that need to be accessed and the spindle must be free to move. www.cuttermasters.com - Toll Free (800) 417 2171 Page 8...

From a time point of view, be selective about which tools to repair, because it requires keen skills and the use of different wheels such as a cut-off wheel or the use of a wheel www.cuttermasters.com - Toll Free (800) 417 2171 Page 11...
“un-fatigued” base material before putting the tool back into service (best done on a CNC). Do not over grind the diameter to get rid of the chipped flutes or the tool geometry will be ruined, reducing tool performance. The CM-01P DC Tower has been designed to mount a variety of wheels, several of which can be set to grind the flute rake face free of chips and spalling. This proce- dure is an acquired skill, as it is not a fixtured operation. If the tools are expensive performance tools,...
0.002” per pass without generating excessive heat, depending on the width of cut. Smaller tools should be ground more carefully to avoid chatter and overheating. It is advisable to set a magnetic back dial indicator on the y axis table to track the depth of cut. When the wheel touches the tool, set the dial indicator to zero and then draw the tool on the tool rest www.cuttermasters.com - Toll Free (800) 417 2171 Page 17...

Neck reduction grinds can be preformed using the 1A1 wheel. Feed the outside face of the wheel into the neck of the tool allowing the tool to spin in the spindle under the force of the wheel. Figure 11. Set Up for Neck Reduction Grinds www.cuttermasters.com - Toll Free (800) 417 2171 Page 22...

3/4” end mill, the chart calls for 10° primary angle and a 18° clearance angle: (10° + 18°) / 2 = 14°. Therfore, you would set the motor tilt around 14°. Lock the motor tilt. This is a general rule not critical. www.cuttermasters.com - Toll Free (800) 417 2171 Page 24...

From this point on you only need to feed with the upper Tool spindle carriage x axis feed. Load the tool. Clamp the collet on the shank of the endmill and not the flutes if possible. The end mill flutes should be level with the table, or tipped slightly down. Set the indexing collar to the required flute position. Using the upper x axis feed, bring the tool close to the wheel. Reposition the upper y axis, bring the tool into the wheel until it touches. Test the swing, if it looks good your all set. If more clerance is needed it can be added manually or additional grinds can be made by repeating the above process. Turn the motor on and take a cut.
