The Flash-Ready Indicator
If the fl ash-ready indicator ( ) blinks in the viewfi nder, the fl ash can be used for ad-
ditional lighting. The fl ash-ready indicator will not be displayed if Off is selected for
Custom Setting 20 (Flash sign).
Long Time-Exposures
At a shutter speed of

graph would be un der- or over-exposed at current settings. Depending on the option
chosen for Custom Setting 9 (EV step), the amount of un der- or over-ex po sure is
