Connection of stand-alone option unit
(1) When using the brake resistor (MRS, MYS) and high-duty brake resistor (FR-ABR)
It is recommended to configure a sequence, which shuts off power in the input side of the inverter by the external thermal
relay as shown below, to prevent overheat and burnout of the brake resistor (MRS, MYS) and high duty brake resistor (FR-
ABR) in case the regenerative brake transistor is damaged. (The brake resistor can not be connected to the FR-E720-008
or 015.)

(Always install a thermal relay when using a brake resistor whose capacity is FR-E720-470 or more)

Brake resistor can not be used with the brake unit, high power factor converter, power supply regeneration converter,
etc.
Do not use the brake resistor with a lead wire extended.
Do not connect a resistor directly to the DC terminals P/+ and N/-. This could cause a fire.
