▷ The trunk lid is closed.
▷ The cargo cover is folded down.
If one of these requirements is not met, a check
control message is displayed.
The wind deflector must be mounted for auto‐
matic opening and closing of the convertible top.
Operating from the inside
General information
The convertible top movement stops when the
maximum permissible speed is exceeded during
the convertible top movement or when the mini‐
mum permissible speed is not reached during
the automatic convertible top movement.
In the second case, the movement can be con‐
tinued by keeping the switch pulled/pushed.
Opening
Push the switch and hold it.
The windows roll down and the convertible top
opens while the switch is being pushed.
Automatic opening
Press the switch briefly.
The windows roll down and the convertible top
opens.
Closing
Pull the switch and hold it.
The windows are lowered, the convertible top is
closed, and the windows are raised again while
the switch is being pulled.
Automatic closing
Pull the switch briefly.
The windows are lowered, the convertible top is
closed, and the windows are raised again.

Preventing an interruption
If the convertible top does not open or close au‐
tomatically, push or pull the switch until the
convertible top is completely closed or open. A
Check Control message indicates the end of the
operation, including for automatic opening and
closing. Always make sure that the convertible
top well storage cover is completely closed. Only
if the convertible top is completely open or
closed will the convertible top and convertible
top well storage cover be locked.
The convertible top movement is interrupted
when the switch is released or when the
switched is pushed or pulled again for automatic
opening or closing. The sequence can be contin‐
ued in the desired direction using the switch.
The convertible top and the convertible top well
storage cover are not locked in this case. Oper‐
ate switch again until the convertible operation is
terminated.
Operation from the outside
When equipped with Comfort Access the
convertible top can also be operated from out‐
side.
Convenient opening and convenient closing via
the vehicle key.

Cargo area partition
Fold down cargo area partition in the back so
that the convertible top can be opened.
