CONNECTION­AND­PREPARATION
Connecting­a­BluRay­player­or­a­­game­
pad­(socket­C)

Connect the »HDMI1« or »HDMI2« socket on the television
and the corresponding HDMI socket on the BluRay player
or the game pad using a standard HDMI cable.
Inserting­the­CA­module­(slot­D)
Note:
Switch the device off before you insert a CA module

into the »CI« slot.

Insert the corresponding smart card into the CI module.

Insert the CI module with the smart card into the »CI« slot
on the television.
Note:
In the »CA Module« sub-menu you can see which CA mod-

ule has been inserted in the CI slot.
If you are inserting a CA module into the CI slot of the
7
television for the first time, you will need to wait a mo-
ment until the CA module is detected.
Connecting­the­power­cord

Insert the plug of the power adapter cable into the
«
IN
socket of your television.

Plug the power cord of the power adapter into a wall
socket.
Notes:
Before pluging in the electrical cable make sure that the

adapter is connected to the television.
Do not plug in the power adapter until you have con-

nected the external equipment and the antenna.
Do not use an adapter plug or extension lead which
7
does not meet the applicable safety standards. Do not
tamper with the power cord.

Inserting­batteries­into­the­­ r emote­
control

Open the battery compartment by removing the lid.

I nsert the batteries (2 x 1.5 V micro, for example R03 or
AAA). Observe the polarity marked in the bottom of the
battery c ompartment.

Close the battery compartment.
Note:­
If the television no longer reacts properly to remote con-

trol commands, the batteries may be flat. Always remove
used batteries.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused

by leaking batteries.

the packaging indicates that the rechargeable battery/
battery may not be disposed of with regular household
rubbish. For certain r echargeable batteries/batteries,
