Wiring

Turn the AC Switch to OFF before wiring. The AC switch actuates two load-break-rated AC contactors to open.
The AC switch is located on the right side of the inverter (Figure 2-3.)

Verify the absence of AC voltage
Wiring terminals are rated for both 75°C and 90°C rated conductors. Ensure that all connections comply with the
National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70 (NEC) and local electrical codes. With longer wire runs, larger
conductors than are strictly required by the NEC are often used in order to reduce the voltage drop. See Section
0 for AC connection specifications and Section 0 for DC connection specifications.
Keep AC and DC wiring in separate conduits. All conduit must be rain-tight. Use wet location connectors that
comply with UL 514B to maintain the inverter enclosure's NEMA 4X, Type 3R, IEC IP66 rating. Conduit holes or
other modifications to the enclosure are not permitted anywhere on the enclosure except in the designated
conduit entry area (see Figure 3-9).

Open Inverter Cover
Make sure the DC disconnect switch handle is in the OFF position. The DC disconnect switch is load-break
rated. Use a flat-head screwdriver to unfasten the five quarter-turn latches on the inverter's front cover, as shown
in Figure 3-6. Lift the bottom of the hinged cover and swing it upward. Make sure that both cover support arms
are engaged, as in Figure 3-7.
