Cookware and containers made from metal or
cookware with metal edging may lead to
sparks being formed during simple mi-
crowave operation. The appliance is dam-
aged.

crowave-only operation.

of heating.

Inadequate cleaning may destroy the surface

1.7 Cleaning function
WARNING ‒ Risk of fire!
Loose food remnants, fat and meat juices
may catch fire when the cleaning function is in
progress.
▶ Before you start the cleaning function, al-
ways remove coarse dirt from the cooking
compartment.
▶ Never clean accessories at the same time.
The outside of the appliance gets very hot
when the cleaning function is in progress.
▶ Never hang combustible objects, e.g. tea
towels, on the door handle.
▶ Leave the front of the appliance clear.
▶ Keep children at a safe distance.
If the door seal is damaged, a large amount
of heat is generated around the door.
▶ Do not scrub or remove the seal.
▶ Never operate the appliance if the seal is
damaged or missing.

The appliance gets very hot when the clean-
ing function is in progress. The non-stick coat-
ing on baking trays and tins is destroyed and
noxious gases are released.
