Adding PCI Cards

1. PCI Expansion Slots
The H8DMR-i2 has two x8 PCI-Express slots, one PCI-X 133 MHz slot and one
PCI-X 100 MHz slot. (On the H8DMR-82, the 100 MHz PCI-X slot supports Zero
Channel RAID.) The SC815TQ-R650 chassis can accommodate one standard size
(full height full length) and one low profi le PCI expansion cards. PCI cards are
installed into riser cards that have been included with the system: the CSE-RR1U-X
riser supports a standard size card and the CSE-RR1U-XLP riser supports a low
profi le card.
An additional two riser cards are available as an option to support add-on cards
in the JPCIE1 and JPCIE2 x8 (PCI-Express) slots: the CSE-RR1U-EL riser (for a
standard size card) and the CSE-RR1U-ELP (for a low profi le card).
2. PCI card installation
Before installing a PCI add-on card, make sure you install it into the correct riser
card. Begin by releasing the locking tab that corresponds to the slot you wish to
populate. Insert the expansion card into the correct riser card, pushing down with
your thumbs evenly on both sides of the card.
