system updates, or rate updates, refer to

Procedure for Downloading New Postal Rates, Updates,
Inscriptions or Ads
Use this procedure to initiate a download for postal rates updates, inscriptions, ads, or system updates
or to restart an interrupted download.
If you are connected to the PB Data Center using SmartLink
1. Verify that your machine is connected to the PB Data Center.
2. Press Options.
3. Press Page Down to the third screen.
4. Select Connect-Data Center.
5. Select Uploads & Downloads.
6. You will see a series of messages indicating that your machine is dialing into the PB Data
Center.
7. Once connected to the PB Data Center you are informed of any downloads available.
8. Follow the prompts to start the download(s) as necessary. Various screens display, letting you
know the status of the process.
9. When finished, press Enter/yes to return to the main screen.
