b. Connect the E-lock cable to the E-lock connector on the system board. See "Parts on the system

Power button

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To remove or install the power button, do the following:
1. Prepare your computer. See "Preparing your computer" on page 92.
2. Locate the power button. See "Major FRUs and CRUs" on page 34.
3. To remove the power button, do the following:
a. Disconnect the power button cable from the front-bezel connector on the system board. If your
computer is installed with a card reader, disconnect the card reader cable from the USB 2.0
connector on the system board. See "Parts on the system board" on page 37.
b. Pivot the drive bay assembly inward until it snaps into position. See "Completing the parts
replacement" on page 155.
c. Remove the screw that secures the front audio and USB assembly, and then remove the assembly
from the chassis as shown.
