Hard Disk Problems

Spin

If hard disk drive does not spin it may need to be serviced or replaced:
• Check the hard disk indicator LED to confirm a lack of spinning. Open a file.
The LED lamp should light up momentarily as a file is accessed. If the file
does not open and the light LED does not light, there may be a hard disk spin
problem.
• Recall if your V1100 has been subjected to static electricity or physical shock.
If so, you may have damaged the disk drive.
