C4630 SE Home Audio System
The C4630 SE is a home audio system that makes it easy
for the entire family to control and enjoy music throughout
the home, allowing users to listen to any of four dif ferent
audio sources in up to six dif ferent rooms (zones) at the
same time.
The C4630 SE is controlled by C4630 SE Main and
Numeric Keypad Controllers (available separately). The
Main keypad can accept Sonance FSMR1 or MR1 IR
receivers (also available separately) that allow the C4630 SE
to be controlled by an optional IR remote. The C4630 SE
can also be controlled by Sonance Navigator
programmable keypads.
T h e C 4 6 3 0 S E i n c l u d e s
programming software that lets programmers create easy,
logical control of both the sound in each room and the
system's audio sources. The Control Manager software
allows the C4630 SE to be programmed with keypad-
triggered macros that can accomplish complex functions
(like turning the system ON, selecting a source, setting the
volume and other audio parameters and star ting the music
in a specific room) with a single button push.

In addition to the macros that can be triggered by the
C4630 SE Main and Numeric Keypads, the C4630 SE can
also store up to 200 "Extra Command" macros for each
zone that can be triggered by K2 and K1 programmable
keypads. This lets advanced programmers give their clients
extremely sophisticated control over the audio system.
For more sophisticated systems, the C4630 SE's RS-232
serial communications por t can integrate it with serial-
controlled audio components like the Sonamp
8-channel power amplifier and the iPor t™ Music System
for the Apple iPod ® . The RS-232 connection also allows the
C4630 SE to be serial-controlled by top-end 3rd-par ty
whole-home control systems.
For systems that involve more than six zones, up to four
C4630 SEs can be "daisy-chained" via their Source
Output, Sync and IR Link connections, allowing systems of
up to 24 zones to be assembled. A "Par ty Mode" provides
control of source and volume in all zones from a single
location, and a Paging function lets the system's audio be
overriden by an intercom, telephone system or microphone
preamp output.
