Reviewing Your Current Restore Settings

Before you restore your data, review the settings in the Current Settings area. If necessary,
click the Settings button in the Restore window to change these settings to suit your needs,
then return to the Restore window to resume your restore operation. After you verify settings
and source media, click the Restore button in the lower right corner of the Restore window to
restore the files from the selected target drive. Table 5 summarizes the StorageSync restore
settings. For more information, see Appendix A.

Reviewing Your Restore Options

StorageSync provides a number of restore options. Table 6 summarizes the StorageSync
restore options.

Table 5. Restore Settings

Saves information about restore operations in the StorageSync
log. Default is enabled.
Automatically reminds you to backup data based on the number
of user-specified days. Default is disabled.
Only restores files on your computer's hard drive that have an
older date than corresponding files on the source media.
Restores all backed up data, regardless of the date on the source
media. Default is enabled.

Restores data to the location where it resided when it was backed
up.
Restores data to a location other than where it originally resided.
If you select this option, StorageSync prompts you to select a
location where the data is to be restored.
Restores only the newest version of a file when more than one
version of the same file reside on the source media.
Lets you select the version of the file to be restored when more
than one version of the same file resides on the source media.
