8. Connect the signal cable and the power cable to the new optical drive.
9. Reinstall all the removed parts.
10. Reconnect the power cord and all disconnected cables to the computer.
Note: If a locking device is available, use it to lock the computer.
Storage drive
Prerequisite
Before you start, read Appendix A "Important safety information" on page 85 and print the following
instructions.
Replacement procedure
1. Remove the computer cover. See "Computer cover" on page 18.
2. Remove the front bezel. See "Front bezel" on page 19.
3. Remove the optical drive. See "Optical drive" on page 21.
4. Disconnect the signal cable and the power cable from the storage drive.
5. Remove the screw from the bracket, and then slide the storage drive and the bracket out of the chassis.
