    Air Conditioning / Heating: Automatic Climate Control Cooling the Interior of your X5: To Get Max Cold: • Press the button “Max*” . • The air conditioning and re-circulation are turned on and the fan blows at maximum speed out of center vents until cancelled.
  • Page 4 Car Key Memory for Climate Control: • Key memory can be set by a BMW center to retain individual key settings for climate control. • If this feature is active in your vehicle, you should first press the unlock button when entering an unlocked vehicle so that the key being used can be recognized, and any new climate control settings stored.

    Air Conditioning / Heating: Manual Climate Control Cooling the Interior of your X5: To Get Max Cold: • Turn temperature dial to the blue region. • Turn the airflow dial to direct air to the upper body. • Set the fan speed completely to the right.

    Cargo Cover: To Close: • Using the handle, pull the cover toward the rear of the vehicle and hook the tabs in the rear holders To Open: • Unhook the tabs from the rear holders j and push toward the front of the vehicle.

    Cup Holders: Front: • To access the cup holder, slide the cover back and remove the compartment for storing pens. Rear: • Press “in” and release to open the cup holder. • Close cup holder by pushing it inward. • DO NOT use the cup holder as a step.

    Fuel Cap: After Refueling: • Make sure the fuel cap is fully closed by turning clockwise until you hear a click. • If the fuel cap is loose or missing, the “service engine soon” light will illuminate. • Some models may have a “check filler cap” or“fuel tank open” message displayed in the instrument cluster. Check and correctly install the fuel cap if this message appears.
