Troubleshooting

Problem
The TV set switches off automatically.
All menus are displayed in the wrong langu-
age.
General problems when connecting external
devices via an AV input.
With Teletext various characters are displa-
yed incorrectly.
Errors occurred when running a CA module.
No sound via the external digital audio am-
plifier.
A programmed recording was not made.
There is no start or end of a programmed
recording although the automatic time
control (Accurate Recording) was used.
No IP address will be issued to your TV set in
spite of automatic IP configuration.
Possible cause
The automatic shutdown switches off the
TV set to save energy after 4 hours of inacti-
vity as soon as at least one signal input group
is set up in the energy efficient mode Home
Mode.
The menu language was set incorrectly.
The Signal type is set incorrectly.
The wrong character set has been set in the
System settings.
a) The external digital audio amplifier does
not support the selected sound format
(Dolby Digital, dts, MPEG).
b) TV set and external digital audio amplifier
are not connected with each other.
The provider deleted the programme from
the EPG data, for example due to a pro-
gramme change.
The station from which the recording was
made does not support automatic time
control (Accurate Recording).
The transmission time of the program was
delayed and the channel from which the recor-
ding was made has not updated the data.
No DHCP server is working on your network. Set up a DHCP server.
Remedy / Instructions
Using automatic shutdown is recommended
for the purposes of energy saving and safety.
Set the menu language:
Press HOME key. Call last menu item
