Blindstitch foot No. 5
Blindstitch No. 9
For invisible hems in medium to heavy weight cotton, wool and blended
materials.
Preparation
finish the raw edges
fold the hem and baste or pin in place
fold the fabric back over the right side of the fabric to expose the finished
lower edge
place under presser foot and
move the folded edge against the metal guide on the presser foot
Sewing
The needle should just pierce the edge of the fold, as when hand blind-stitching.
after sewing about 10cm, check both sides of fabric and adjust width again
if necessary
Fine stitch width adjustment
Guide the folded edge evenly along the metal guide on the foot =
even depth.
Reverse pattern foot No. 1C/1D
Tricot stitch No. 14
For visible, elastic hems in jersey, cotton, synthetic and mixed fibers.
Preparation
iron the hem, baste if necessary
reduce the presser foot pressure if necessary
Sewing
sew the hem at preferred depth on the right side
trim excess fabric from the wrong side
