(1) Front axle nut
(2) Front axle shaft
Installation Notes:
Reverse the removal procedure.
Position the wheel between the fork
legs and insert the front axle from the
right side, through the right fork leg
and wheel hub.
Tighten the front axle nut to the
specified torque.
Front axle nut torque:
59 N·m (6.0 kgf·m , 43 lbf·ft)
After installing the wheel, apply the
brake several times and then check if
the wheel rotates freely. Recheck the
wheel if the brake drags or if the wheel
does not rotate freely.
If a torque wrench was not used for
installation, see your Honda dealer as soon
as possible to verify proper assembly.
Improper assembly may lead to loss of
braking capacity.

Rear Wheel Removal
1. Place the vehicle on its center stand and
remove the drive chain cases (page 62).
(i). Loosen the rear axle nut (1).
(ii). Remove the rear brake adjusting nut (2).
Disconnect the brake rod (3) from the
brake arm (4).
(iii). Loosen the drive chain lock nut (5) and
drive chain adjusting nut (6).
