CRANKCASE BREATHER
Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 6.
1. Remove the left side cover (page 38).
2. Remove the crankcase breather tube
plug (1) from the tube and drain
deposits into a suitable container.

3. Reinstall the crankcase breather tube
plug.
Service more frequently when riding in rain
or at full throttle.

NOTICE
Never use a spark plug with an improper
heat range. Severe engine damage could
result.
1. Disconnect the spark plug cap (1) from
(1)
the spark plug.
2. Clean any dirt from around the spark
plug base.
Remove the spark plug using the spark
plug wrench (2) furnished in the tool
kit.
3. Inspect
porcelain
carbon fouling. If the erosion or deposit
is heavy, replace the plug. Clean a
wetfouled plug with a plug cleaner,
otherwise use a wire brush.
