When you insert a CompactFlash card, the button located beside the card slot will pop out.
When you press this button, the inserted CompactFlash card will pop out, allowing you to remove it.

Precautions concerning the handling of
CompactFlash cards
When removing
Grasp the card with your fingers and pull it straight out.
Never remove the card while loading, saving, or formatting is in progress. Also, you must never turn
off the power of the CG-8 or disconnect the power cord while loading, saving, or formatting is in
progress. Doing so may damage the CompactFlash card.
